I Just Feeling Like Writing about Pelican

There isn't much to say really. I went to the doctor on Monday and found out that I have only gained one pound since I found out I was pregnant over a month ago. I am trying harder than I ever have to eat well - for me that means eat enough as that can be hard for me. I want to gain weight because I started out this pregnancy a little underweight, and I really want Pelican to get well nourished. Other than that, the appointment was uneventful - that's how I like it. We listened to Pelican's heart beating. I love doing that! I smile a lot just knowing my little one is in there growing. The doctor said Pelican is healthy. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow, and I feel like I have been really lucky. I get weak and a bit nauseated. My sense of smell is heightened. Symptoms really come and go. I still haven't thrown up - even when a girl in one of my classes (student teaching) threw up this week. In the last week or so I started up a habit of dry heaving occasionally, but it hasn't gotten too bad.
Matt talks to Pelican in Spanish. I think it is cute, and I love it when I can figure out something that he is saying. Mostly I can just tell from the tone of his voice that he is happy to be almost a daddy. It's cute.
So my not much to say turned into something - thanks for reading and making comments. We love Pelican!
