Amy looked up at me during breakfast and said, "You're pretty, mom."
Made my day.
When Matt just walked out the door she told him, "Love you, bye!"
The little sweetie.

Valentine's Day 2010
Now, you'd like to think that this picture represented only a part of what I got for Bonnie for Valentines day, but it doesn't represent even that. The balloons (and twix-weighter) were given to us by our home teachers (aka Bishop). Saturday, Bonnie got me a pint of Ben & Jerry's (Mint & Cookie flavor). What a nicey! That, however, was the extent of our celebrations (along with various wishes of a happy valentines day). So, what did we do?
I woke up a bit late for my 8am Bishopric meeting so I was rushed and still got there a couple minutes late. Our secretary is out of town for a couple weeks so I'm playing the secretary as well. I ended up getting home around 6:15 or so. Bonnie was nice and brought me some scrambled eggs, a granola bar, and a water bottle about noon so I didn't starve. When I got home both kids were asleep so we quickly ate. Noel woke up and right after that our home teachers arrived. That was a very nice and pleasant visit. Amy woke up in the meantime. We then had family scripture study and, after letting the kids play a bit and just catching up with eachother on our days, we got them ready for bed. Shortly thereafter, we also went to bed.
Isn't it romantic!
Truth be told, Bonnie and I have never made too much of a deal of Valentine's day. We focus more on our anniversary. =)

Snow Day
We celebrated Matt's birthday on the 23 of January because the 24th - his actual birthday - was a Sunday, and he's in meetings every Sunday for much of the day. In the morning he wanted to take Amy out to play in the snow. I'll have to post more about his birthday, but I'm too tired to do it now. He had a great one. (Thought I better say that in case I never get around to posting anything else about it.)
Amy's ready to go play in the snow!

Here's who was planning to go outside.

Here's who ended up outside. Family self portraits are hard. At least we're all four in the picture.

Great picture of Matt and me. But the girls... not the best.

Amy's Outfits
This is our wrap that I sometimes carry Noel in. Amy wanted to wear it.

Left foot: Mommy's turtle slipper. Right foot: Amy's snow boot. Shirt: Off the shoulder. Pants: None.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the I Love New Zealand shirt and the new cute dress. Amy loved them and insisted on wearing them both at the same time. The first day she saw them. And the second day. Great presents!

Sisters
Here are some good glimpses into the relationship Amy and Noel have. A few struggles, but mostly they adore each other. We love that they get along so well.
These next few are of the girls talking on Google video to their Aunt Burns and their cousin, Lillianne. They were obviously very interested. And I just thought it was so cute that Amy snuggled up to Noel and put her arm around her.

The Video Explains Everything
Isn't that cool?
You really can't tell as much from the video or the picture, but it was an amazing sight expecting to go outside and see night but seeing day. Maybe this is how the Nephites felt.

Amy Speech
We were eating dessert tonight when Amy started talking about all sorts of stuff, only most of which we could understand.
At one point she said "Sacrament Meeting is fun."
Then later "Sacrament Meeting"
Bonnie: "What about Sacrament Meeting honey?"
Amy: "The Holy.... Toilet"
Us: Great Laughter
Amy, pointing at the door "People are coming"
Mom: "People are coming?"
Amy: "Yeah, pretending."
Mom: "Pretending?"
Amy: "Yeah. Pretend Christmas. Pretend Christmas is fun!"
Oh how we love Amy's talking!
