L-A-Z-I-N-E-S-S

Bont and I are sitting on our couches in our living room, both with laptops. I decided to text her something via gmail chat. After a bit of a typed chat to the charming woman sitting one couch away from me, I texted this:

it feels lazier to type than to talk
moving my fingers is easier than moving my jaw

Who's feeling lazy?

You and Me

The other day Noel and I were reviewing the full names of the members of our family. I would say one name at a time, and Noel would repeat.

We went through herself and her sisters.

Probably next was Mommy's name.

Finally Daddy.

Me: Matthew

Noel: Math-me

Me: [Laughing] Matthew

Noel: Math-me

Awesome.

Then tonight came another great conversation. As a piece of background, we sometimes do interviews with our children on Sundays after church. It is something my parents did with me - and I have funny notes from interviews with my dad when I was little. It is also something Oliver DeMille recommends. I usually ask the questions while Matt types as quickly as possible whatever comes out. So far we just record them, but maybe someday we'll compile some of the best things they said. Who knows. Anyway, it is something the kids enjoy and I do too.

So tonight I asked Noel if she wanted to have an interview. Her response? Yeah, an interv-me.

Awesome.

Too Easy

Google+ has made it too easy to not post on here. Below are a number of pics and videos the most of which, if not all, have been posted there as well. I post them here too for a couple reasons. First, I feel like this blog is a good "family journal" of sorts, and second, not all of you that read this blog are on Google+. Enjoy!

Sprinkler Fun

Noel dancing away. She got her sister and cousin into it too!

Some cute Eliza

I dropped Bonnie and Eliza off for something (I don't remember what), and on the way home felt like I should take Amy and Noel to play outside the temple. So we did. It was fun.

That's it for now.

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'

Eliza learned two new tricks yesterday! Rolling both directions! It's a little crazy and amazing to me that she can already do that. And that she learned both ways in the same day. I think she technically did tummy to back first, (right, Matt?) Matt saw it. But she did both. Today she has done both again.

I double checked with the blog, and Amy was about 4 1/2 months and Noel over 5 months when they first rolled over. (I think they both went tummy to back first and then waited a few weeks before they rolled the other way. I think.) So, as I suspected, Eliza is doing things younger than her sisters. That should be ok still, though because Amy walked at 13 months and Noel at 18 months. So they are a little slow at some things. :)

Eliza is also bigger than her sisters were at this age (although she does look quite a bit like them in my opinion, especially like Noel.) Yesterday she wore a dress that is too small for her (at 3 1/2 months) that Amy wore for her first Easter (which would have made her past 7 months) and fit her fine. It's fun to see all of them and watch them grow and develop. Noel and I were just looking through the archives to check for ages when she and Amy rolled over. I love to see them and remember what they were like before.
