Noel's Birthday

Noel turns two this Thursday, but with Bonnie technically being full term and next week being a bit busy anyway, we decided to have her party on Saturday. We invited all her nursery friends (and older siblings) to come and about half of them made it. We had balls, sidewalk chalk, music and some streamers for dancing, and Grandma and Grandpa brought some bubbles. As it was mostly 2 year olds, we figured a lot of structure wouldn't work very well, so we mostly just let them play.

After a while we had cake and ice cream,

followed by presents,

followed by a "candy hunt" (I just threw candy around the yard and the kids ran around picking it up.)

It was fun. Our (or at least my) goals were that each kid would leave with a ball, some candy, some cake and ice cream on their faces and clothes, and smiles. I think we were pretty successful on all counts, except the girl above who left in tears.... because she didn't want to leave. She was having too much fun!

And unquestionably, Noel loved it! See!
