Our Windows

A couple of months ago we got new windows in all the upstairs rooms in our house. We were convinced of the good deal as the marketing man showed us savings on our energy bills, ways we can get tax credits, and deals he would give us for being the first ones in the area to get our new windows. We ran all the numbers and figured that the windows would pay for themselves in about 4 years.

The company we worked with, American Exteriors, has a few other special perks. They were great to work with, responding quickly and politely. They were efficient in their work. They offer a lifetime guarantee in case anything goes wrong with your windows. So as long as we stay in the house for a few years, these windows should pay for themselves and possibly save us money in the long run if we have window problems.

Another thing that we like is the windows themselves. Our old ones were fine, we thought. But they weren't energy efficient at all. They were pretty thin. These are white bordered (the others were black) which looks great with our rooms - a little funny from the outside but that's because our house is brown. They are smooth and easy to open, close, lock, and clean. That's nice.

I would recommend the company to others looking for new windows or who just like the idea of the savings on energy bills.

This post shows the windows from the outside. I may get around to taking better shots, but this will do for now. This post shows the old ones - kind of.
